Emmanuel is a Chartered Accountant (CA(Z), CA(SA)) who trained with PricewaterhouseCoopers during his articleship. He has extensive experience in external audit, covering industries such as financial services, manufacturing, and real estate.
In his post-audit career, Emmanuel has held several key roles within the First Mutual Group. As Group Finance Executive at First Mutual Holdings Limited, he managed various projects, including coordinating the successful implementation of IFRS 17 – Insurance contracts. He has also served as Group Finance Manager, Group Technical Manager, and Senior Accountant at NicozDiamond Insurance.
Throughout his career, he has gained a wealth of expertise in financial strategy formulation, treasury management, financial reporting, and project management.
Emmanuel holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the National University of Science and Technology, a Diploma in Advanced Accounting Sciences from the University of South Africa, and a Postgraduate Certificate in the Theory of Accounting from the University of South Africa. He is a Registered Public Accountant (RPAcc) with both the PAAB and SAICA.
